Gone Fishin for Tuna Melts
These have got to be one of my favourite things to make and eat, so simple, delicious, and satisfying.
Recipe is my own/mother's...
Ultimate Tuna Melts
makes 10 melts
- 5 english muffins cut in half
- 1 tin of tuna, broke into little pieces
- salt, pepper and poultry seasoning to taste
- 1/2 can cream of celery soup (you can use any cream soup, i just dont happen to like chicken or mushrooms)
- 2 tbsp. Mayo (or miracle whip, whichever you prefer)
- 1/2 grated cheese + some for topping
- paprika
Turn oven on to broil. Mix tuna, salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning together. Add the soup and mayo, the mixture should b very wet, if it isnt add more of both (or either) mayo and soup. Spread onto english muffin halves, cover with grated cheese and sprinkle with paprika. Put in oven and broil until bubbly, approx. 2 minutes, they burn fast so make sure to keep an eye on them.
enjoy!!
